When contacting the Center for the first time, we can answer any questions you may have and find a clinician who best fits your needs. Once you have scheduled an appointment, we’ll confirm your time and date and provide you with an Informed Consent form for you to fill out prior to your first appointment.
If you would like some assistance in choosing a clinician, we can help find the best fit for you based on:
- Your goals and preferences
- Clinicians expertise
- Your schedule
- Fee per session
We offer an initial free 30 minute in-person consultation with one of our clinicians to answer any questions you may have, to learn more about your needs, and to ensure compatibility.
We appreciate and understand how schedules may change from week to week or even minute to minute. You may not be able to come in every week at the same time, and you may not need to come in every week. We can work with what fits for you, be it weekly sessions but at different times, biweekly sessions, or even monthly check-ins to keep you on track. We’ll work together to come up with the best schedule to suit your needs.
We also provide the option for online scheduling which allows you to make, reschedule or cancel appointments based on your specific or changing needs.
Arriving at the Center
When you arrive there is metered street parking that costs $1.00 an hour, or free street parking on the side streets. Once you arrive at the front door please enter and proceed up the stairs, make a left at the top of the stairs at the hallway and enter our well comfortable waiting room in located in Suite #202. We provide free coffee, tea and WiFi, so feel free to arrive a little early to relax before your session.
We understand that the initial session can be a little nerve wracking. Here is how a typical first session will go: The Center waiting room is up the stairs and to the left in suite #202. Please have a seat in our waiting room and your therapist will come and greet you at your appointment time. While waiting, feel free to use our complimentary WiFi, make yourself some coffee or tea, and read one of our many interesting magazines. When your session starts, we will review the Center’s policies and you will have a chance to ask any questions. Then we will start to discuss what has brought you into therapy. The sessions last 50 minutes and are usually once a week.
