Dealing with sudden tragedy can make you feel feel helpless and lost. It is hard to imagine that things will ever go back to normal. Trauma can also make you feel damaged and different creating a sense of hopelessness. We will work with you to help you reach a new understanding and come to terms with what you have been through. The fact that you have survived is a testament to how strong you are. We will help you learn to acknowledge the strength you have within you and finding the support of family and friends who understand. We encourage you to give yourself credit for the strides you have already made, instead of beating yourself up or ruminating on destructive thoughts. Even though it doesn’t feel like it now, you can be happy again. You are taking the first step by considering therapy.
